I'm just curious what everyone around here is planning on doing with their government handouts tax rebates. Daily Kos is ostensibly "middle class" (whatever that means), so I'd be willing to bet this place is a pretty good representation of what many Americans are going to do with their rebates--and more importantly, how the rebates are going to do their "magic" in the economy.
Personally, I am going to pay off a credit card. Will that benefit the economy? Well it will give some bank somewhere more liquidity, so I guess it depends on what they do with it. If possible, I'd also like to put a little in (currently nonexistent) savings.
Assuming the rebate package doesn't go down in a legislative ball of partisanship, of course...
So what's it going to be, Daily Kos goers? A mad rush to Best Buy? Medical bills? Credit card bills? Mortgage or rent payments? Savings? Investments? Shoes?
